Eric Damon Miles

1982 — May 25, 2025

Baton Rouge

Eric Damon Miles, a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, graced this world with his kindness and laughter from December 28, 1982, until his passing on May 25, 2025. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Eric was known for his outgoing personality and remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him.

Eric dedicated himself to his work at Resting Place Memorial Garden alongside his father, creating a legacy that intertwined family and service. He was particularly proud of his role there, where his hard work reflected his dedication not only to his family but also to the community.

A devoted father, Eric poured his heart into his relationship with his daughter, Erica Destinae Miles, and cherished every moment spent with her and his three grandchildren—Kaison, Kalani, and Kingston. As a family man, he loved cracking jokes and making others laugh, an incredible gift he shared with everyone he met. His love for humor was only rivaled by his affection for his family; time spent playing football with his nephews and sitting outside talking with his family brought him immense joy. Additionally, he found peace and inspiration in his readings, especially from the Bible, nurturing a deep faith in God that served as the cornerstone of his life.

Eric’s vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his mother, Tina Rena Miles, his father, Kevin A. Harris (Jennifer), his sisters, Krystle Rena Miles and Amber Ennis, and his brothers, Kevin D. Miles (Amari), Christopher A. Miles, and Patrick Ennis. He is also survived by his cherished grandmother, Marie Miles, his girlfriend Rae Michelle Carrell, uncles Joseph Miles (Keshia) and DeAndre Miles (Terrica), and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Ella R Harris, maternal grandfather Joshua Miles Jr., uncle Anthony D Miles, brother KeAndre R. Simpson and other relatives.

Eric leaves behind a heartfelt legacy marked by laughter, love, and unwavering support for his family. While we mourn his sudden departure, we are comforted by the many memories we hold in our hearts.
