Gregory Charles Edwards

Gregory Charles Edwards, born in 1953, in Joliet, Illinois, departed from this life on July 5, 2025, at the age of 72 in Our Lady of the Lake Regional Hospital. He dedicated a significant part of his life to his career as an electrician, where he showcased not only his technical skills but also his commitment to ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems.

Gregory served proudly in the United States Navy and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, exemplifying his dedication to his country and his service to others.

An avid outdoorsman, Gregory cherished time spent fishing and going camping, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. When he wasn’t outdoors, he loved spending quality time with family and friends, often indulging in his passion for playing cards, bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

He is remembered fondly by his children, grandchildren, other relatives, and friends, who will carry forward the memories of his warmth, humor, and the many lessons he imparted.

Final services to celebrate Gregory’s life will take place at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana, on July 18, 2025, at 10:00am. The family invites all those who wish to pay their respects to join them as they honor his memory.

Gregory Charles Edwards will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on through all who had the privilege of knowing him.
