LaDarius Markale Landry

March 17, 2005 — December 9, 2025

Gulfport, Ms

LaDarius Markale Landry, affectionately known to his family as "TuTu," "Buddy" by his aunt Eunice and by his fraternity brothers as "Jackpot" and "Pastor," left this world far too soon at the tender age of 20. Born on March 17, 2005, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, LaDarius was a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He passed away on December 9, 2025, at the University of South Alabama, where he was pursuing his dreams.

A graduate of Enterprise High School in Alabama, LaDarius was known for his intelligence and caring nature. Those who knew him will fondly remember his infectious smile and his ability to brighten even the darkest of days. LaDarius was more than just an exemplary student; he was an athlete, playing both football and basketball during his high school years. At the University of South Alabama, he was deeply involved and instrumental in the official chartering of The Iota Kappa Chapter on February 21, 2025, proudly holding the title of “Jackpot” among his fraternity brothers.

Family was everything to LaDarius. He loved them dearly and cherished the time spent with them. His mother, Mary Landry Kimble, and stepfather, Frederick Kimble, along with his father, Lawrence Williams Sr., and stepmother, Kelly Matthews Williams, nurtured in him a desire to dream big. He shared a special bond with his brothers, Darius Landry and La'Varius Williams, as well as his sister, Lacecia Landry, and his beloved nephew, Andy Drye. LaDarius’s extended family, including stepsiblings Destiny, Genesis, Te’Anna, and Tyla, stepbrothers Darryl Jr. and Dillan, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all hold treasured memories that will live on in their hearts.

LaDarius was not just a brother or a son; he was a ray of sunshine who made a difference in the lives of those around him. He had big dreams of traveling abroad and constantly sought out opportunities to broaden his horizons. His love for food was matched only by his passion for cooking; he delighted in eating so much that he'd often be found dancing with joy at the table.

Although LaDarius has joined his brother, Lawrence Williams Jr., his grandparents, Oscar and Joann Landry, and his uncle, Michael Landry, in eternal rest, his spirit will forever remain with us. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and laughter that will not be forgotten.

In these moments of sorrow, we celebrate LaDarius’s life and the joy he brought into our world. Beloved by many, he has left an indelible mark on countless hearts. Arrangements for commemorating his remarkable journey through life will be celebrated Saturday December 20, 2025.
