Latrell’ Mikal Ornee Clark, born on December 17, 1997, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 27 on October 6, 2025. A cherished son, father, brother, and uncle, Latrell touched the lives of many with his radiant personality and unwavering dedication to helping others.
Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Latrell was known as a ray of sunshine and the life of the party. His infectious smile could brighten even the darkest of days and brought joy to all who knew him. He was an avid fan of anime and a passionate supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His hobbies were not just pastimes but expressions of his vibrant spirit and interests, which he proudly shared with friends and family.
Latrell's proudest accomplishments centered around his children, who were the light of his life. He poured his heart into fatherhood, nurturing his children with love and dedication, striving to create a better life for them. He was a devoted son to his mother, Weslynn Lewis, and his father, Trellton Clark, and cherished his siblings—Angelique Lewis, LaMonte Lewis, Cynnequi Lewis, Kwyntrell Clark Sr., Jaheim Johnson, and Tyrese Richard. His bond with his grandfather, Joseph (Joyce) Lewis Jr., and Ike (Gloria) Clark was a testament to the strong family ties that defined his upbringing.
Latrell's legacy will live on through his beloved children and the memories created with family and friends. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, alongside a multitude of other relatives and friends who offered him support, love, and companionship throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Joseph Clark, whose memory will forever reside in the hearts of those who love Latrell. He also mourned the loss of his nephew Kwyntrell Clark Jr., his Godmothers Gurley Jo Lewis and Heredia Triche, and his godsister Eltonique Clark. His great grandfather, Joseph Lewis Sr., grandmother Betty Wesley, and great grandmother Mary Lewis, as well as his great grandmother Bernice Wesley, are also fondly remembered as part of his family's tapestry.
Latrell’s memorial service will be held on October 18, 2025, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, located at 58130 Bayou Jacob Rd in Plaquemine, Louisiana. The service will begin at 1:00 PM, giving friends and family an opportunity to gather and celebrate the joyful life of this remarkable young man.
In remembering Latrell, we honor a life filled with kindness, inspiration, and a profound love for his family. His spirit remains in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him, and while he may be gone, his legacy of compassion and joy will echo through the lives he touched.
