Montrell Green, a beloved son, father, and cherished friend, passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 35. Born on April 16, 1990, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Montrell was a pillar of strength and joy to all who were lucky enough to know him. He had an innate talent for working with his hands, which was evident in the many crafts he undertook throughout his life. His creativity extended to his hobbies; Montrell found immense joy in listening to music and dancing, activities that brought light not only to his own life but also to the lives of those around him.
Montrell was especially proud of his daughter, Marleigh Green. The bond they shared was a testament to his dedication as a father. Montrell’s warm spirit and loving nature shone brightly whenever he spent time with Marleigh, inspiring those around him to appreciate the simple joys in life. His family and friends were central to his world, and he truly cherished every moment he shared with them.
His mother, Shawanda Green, and his grandmothers, Betty Tureaud and Lucille Johnson, are left to treasure the memories of Montrell's infectious laugh and vibrant personality. He is survived by his siblings: Charles Tureaud III, Keon Green, Keaira Hutton Brown, Johnathan Hutton, Donathan Hutton, and Tyshika Hutton, who will carry forth his spirit in their hearts.
Montrell is also remembered fondly by a network of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom have been touched by his kindness and warmth. The loss of Montrell is deeply felt, especially by those who had the privilege of witnessing his compassionate character and unwavering loyalty.
Montrell’s father, Charles Tureaud Jr., preceded him in death, and while his absence is profoundly felt, Montrell’s legacy continues through the love and memories his family holds dear.
A visitation will be held at Bible World Christian Center 1771 N Lobdell Blvd in Baton Rouge on August 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Interment in Resting Place Memorial Garden. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the life of Montrell Green, a man whose heart was as big as his dreams. He will be missed dearly, but his memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who loved him.
