Sedrick Dewayne Campbell

Sedrick D. Campbell was born on August 28, 1976, in Baton Rouge, LA, to the late Cassandra Campbell and Steve Verrett. Sedrick was affectionately known as "Pickle" by his family and friends. He was a hardworking individual who dedicated himself to his family and community. Sedrick's passing on May 4, 2026, was a great loss to his family and friends. Sedrick was baptized at an early age at Rock Zion Baptist Church. Sedrick attended Mckinley High School. Sedrick was a vibrant and charismatic man who was known for his infectious personality: His unwavering commitment to his loved ones was evident in everything he did. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and was known for his generosity and kindness. Sedrick was a remarkable individual who lived a life of purpose and dedication. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends for years to come. 

He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Cassandra Campbell. His adopted mother, Linda J Alexander, and His Brother's Montral Winnfield and William Alexander Jr. Sedrick was survived by his father, Steve Verrett, his Daughter Shalacia Campbell, and his son Dash Williams. Maternal grandmother Betty Steward. Siblings, Latasha (Derrick), Lakeyshia, Lawrence, Shelita (Donald), Stephanie, and Kasey all of Baton Rouge, LA. Sedrick leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews,and Cousins who will cherish his memory forever.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be Saturday June 27, 2026 at 10:00am at Resting Place Funeral Home located at 7840 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge, La 70806.
