Veronica Ann Dixon, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on August 30, 1950, in New Roads. She passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at the Flannery Oaks Guest House, at the age of 74.

Veronica was a vibrant spirit, known for her passion for cooking, which brought warmth and joy to many family gatherings. She enjoyed the thrill of playing bingo and found tranquility in fishing, activities that enriched her life and provided moments of happiness with loved ones.

Throughout her life, Veronica’s proudest accomplishments were her beloved children and grandchildren. She instilled in them the values of love, kindness, and resilience, which will continue to resonate through them for generations to come.

Veronica is survived by her dedicated children: Charles Dixon Jr. (Dana), Jason Dixon (Kelli), Monica Sylvester, Anthony Dixon (Yolanda), Steven Dixon (Christina), and Jordon Dixon. She is also lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and inspiration in her life. Veronica was blessed with four sisters—Sheila Duhe, Diana Duhe Terrance, Barbara Duhe Bridgewater (Cedric), and Tammy Duhe—and three brothers—Alan Duhe, Gary Duhe, and Edward Duhe (Pam). Additionally, she leaves behind numerous relatives and friends whose lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lorraine Duhe, and her brother, Jerome Duhe, who are now reunited with her in eternal peace.

Veronica will be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering love for her family, and the memories that she created with those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and kindness will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
